    as gross and disgusting as it sounds...mayonaise. It takes the sting out. and a bit of the redness.

    aloe vera gel, not cold compress or anyting else. the pure raw gel.

    Fill a bath with lukewarm water and drop about 10 teabags in it. Get in the bath and stay there for at least one hour. Keep the water warm but not hot. This works a charm and turns the red into the tan.
