I have only been admitted once to hospital for an asthma attack, about a year and a half ago.
i have had asthma all my life but only diagnosed at 15. (21 now)

Last time i was admitted, the attack began because i had a cold, sore throat and a cough and it just developed from there.

I have just got over a sore throat and now left with cough.
My peak flow is reading 400. On good days it is 500, but usually around 450.
Is this a sign that my asthma is getting worse and i should watch?
or would this happen anyway with a cough?

i just dont want to make a big deal about it with my parents taking me to hospital etc. dont want them to worry.

    thanks.

I'm an asthmatic and am on a peak flow meter also I was told that for a women it should be around 450 but for a guy it should probably be around 500, it going down doesn't mean your asthma is getting worse it's just aggravated. Maybe you are around something you are allergic to or the weather is to hot or cold. Unless it starts affecting you daily life don't worry about it.
