Wear swimming goggles! (Just make sure they have UV protection.)

Not only will they block the UV rays, but they will also help to keep the chlorine and other swimming pool chemicals out of your eyes, as long as the goggles seal properly.

Most optometry offices now can also order prescription swimming goggles and they are actually very reasonably priced around $100. And they come in all sorts of colors, if that interests you. So if you have any sort of prescription, it would be nice to be able to wear it in the water!

Sunglasses whenever you are out of the pool, and even some 'cheap' ones with a neck band so you won't lose them in the pool would be wise.

Otherwise, you can get a variety of styles/designs of 'tinted' goggles, etc.

That is about all you can do.. Water, sand, and snow are all highly reflective surfaces making this damage even greater.

Be sure that you wear sunglasses with 100% UV Ray protection, or talk to your optometrist. There are some eye drops that provide sun protection.
