    okay so im almost 18.

and i plan on staying non sexually active for a very long time. so i was wondering there is no possible way of getting a std since ive never done anything before right? because sometimes down there i get itchy & it looks bumpy. and its not on the hair part... more on the inside.
im about to start birth control to help my periods but if i get an exam im so scared shes gonna tell me i have something. idk if im paranoid or what.? can someone help

Try not to worry, you don't know what it is yet but you really should get it looked at and have the test. At least that way you will be informed and know your body. It is possible that some STD's are inherited from your mother but that is not to blame anyone but just one of those things.

  3. Don't worry, Sweetheart - you don't have any sort of STD. You probably just have irritation from wearing tight jeans or thong underwear. You also could have a yeast infection, which is not an STD. Anyone can contract a yeast infection - it's caused from an overgrowth of candida in the body and is found in damp, moist places on the body. If it is a yeast infection, you will mostly likely have a thick, white discharge but since you didn't state that, it's most likely not yeast.
Every woman experiences the symptoms that you describe. It's just goes along with our anatomy. The vagina is easily irritated from soaps, perfumes, powder, etc., also. Bathing increases the likelihood of this, so if you are concerned, shower instead. When you go to the doctor to get your birth control medication, you could mention it to him/her.
And by the way, what a lovely girl you must be! In this day and age it is very rare to find a young woman your age who is not sexually active. You will be so thankful in your later years that you waited. Early sexual intercourse and/or multiple partners puts women at a greatly increased risk of developing cervical cancer and the new Gardisil vaccine is showing some terrible side effects. The best way to protect oneself is to do exactly as you have: don't have multiple sexual encounters! When you do become sexually active, always, always, always (did I say "always"?!) use a condom. I volunteer at an HIV clinic and over the years I have seen countless young people whose lives are changed forever because they thought "one time without a condom wouldn't hurt".
Congratulations to you for being moral and wise! Thanks for the opportunity to answer your question.

If you have never received oral sex or had sexual intercourse then you shouldn't have stds below the waist. There is also not much you can get from just kissing. You should be honest future partners and tell them this so they don't get disappointed when they find out you don't want to have sex.
This could be in grown hairs and or a yeast infection, you can have both of those with out having any thing to do with sex. You should be clean so don't be too paranoid.

You wont get STD's if your partner is not infected. But you will get them if your partner has it even through bj.
It is safe to swallow semen & you wont get pregnant by it.
