I've had this split for 3 days, its located where the cheek and lower gum connects. It looks like a small razor blade slice and collects food particles every time i eat. I do rinse my mouth out after I eat so it doesn't get infected. I currently avoid brushing near the area and coincidentally i am taking antibiotics because i also have Strep throat at the same time. Can this heal on it's own or do i need to see a doctor or go to my dentist to treat it? And is it alright to Listerine rinse or should i use warm salt water to keep it clean?
