I saw a dermatologist who recommended a plastic surgeon since the moles are near my nose on my face and the surgeon gave me a bill for $1,800, and since they're not cancerous I doubt insurance would pay for it. Why is the bill so high? I looked up the cost of mole removal, and the highest I found was around $500.

I have two moles that I went to a plastic surgeon to see if he can remove them, and he said the cost

when my mother got hers removed, i'm pretty sure it wasn't that high. but she said that the procedure done literally felt like some zapping and burning. but it's been a couple years now and you can't even tell there was something there originally. since it's on the face, the cost is going to be more expensive because we always have to be more cautious with the more fragile dermal layers of the skin. if you're moles are larger and more deeper than a tiny mole, they could be charging for the extra surface area that you removed. but you should try looking around the county or area for some cheaper prices.
