I got them out on may 6 and today is my third day. I woke up with a bad taste in my mouth and it was kind of salty. I bled a little last night but i didn't go to bed until it stopped (it was minimal bleeding) i read in my guide that one of the signs of infection is salty, prolonged bad taste. i don't have any other signs ( my swelling as gone down, way less pain, no fever. and i have been taking this medicine prescribed to me to prevent infection i have been taking it correctly 4 times a day. Also i haven't brushed my teeth since than could it just be that or do i have an infection?

You can brush your teeth, just be careful around the extraction sites. You can rinse with warm salt water, being careful to not swish to vigorously. If after brushing you still have a bad taste, call the dentist. Generally you would have swelling, or lots of pain with an infection, but not brushing combined with the blood in your mouth can cause a bad taste. Keep taking the medication for infection until it's all gone.
