You should see your doctor. Only a doctor can definitively diagnose diabetes.

  4. It is a possibility that you are diabetic. You should get a proper physical and history exam with your primary care physician first before ruling out anything. You mention that you have stomach pains and have heart burn. Those can be due to GERD or gastro-entero reflex disease.

Your frequent urination could be explained by diabetes but it can also be explained by a kidney problem. What happens in a diabetic person is glucose (or sugar) doesn't get taken up by your cells, so what happens is there is a huge reservoir of sugar in your blood now. Our kidneys' jobs is to filter it out and then reabsorb back into the blood. In the case of a diabetic though, since you are not properly using the glucose, it ends up in the urine because the kidney can only reabsorb a certain amount of sugar at one time.

Sugar in the urine is NOT a good thing. it is not supposed to be there. If it is there, that can mean a) Diabetes mellitus
or b) Kidney problems. (that is, your kidney is not reabsorbing sugar back into the blood).

You will probably have to submit blood labs as well as urine samples for analysis.

In diabetics, there is frequent urination and also associated dry mouth due to that.

Don't worry if diagnosis does point to diabetes. Many people live a healthy happy life.

The best thing to do is be evaluated by your doctor. the symptoms you are describing are not normal! you should look into this as soon as possible. if you do have diabetes you should get treated as soon as possible. Untreated diabetes can cause a lot of complications. please let your doctor do all the diagnosing and ruling out possible illnesses. I pray that all goes well. God Bless.
