speaking as a person who is bipolar i would say your showing symptoms such as the mood swings your describing as well as the suicidal thoughts that may come and go in your head although i do not have IBS i would try speaking w/a professional such as a psychologist/psychiatrist before making your own judgment.

You might be. But please don't resort to suicide; there's been three suicides where I live, in a very small town and it's just really depressing. Sorry if this is weird...but if you want someone to talk to, make me your contact so I can give you my cell number. I'm not quite sure how it's done on here...but I really want to help.

There are a lot of reasons a person is sick. When a person is sick it is easy to get depressed. When a person is mineral dificient it is easy to have a lot of different symptoms in the body. Magnesium deficiency is known to be a reason for depression.
It is easy to have sucidal thoughts when you are depressed and sick but it takes time and determination to get over the sickness and get healthy emotionally. It is worth the effort. You need support in getting over your sickness and encouragement to help you get over your depression. Look for good friends and talk with family members to get the support you need.
It would be good to look up oxidative stress. Both of your symptoms have lots of scientific study linking oxidative stress to depression and IBS.
