I was born deaf but can hear now anyone know what my desease coulda been?

    When I was born I couldn't talk at age two so my parents took me to a doctor and they said I was deaf. At age 3 I had a surgery and tubes put in my ears. What may the problem coulda been and could I go deaf again?
