If im prescribed a medical test with no insurance, can i still get the test done?

    I have this feeling that I have a lump in my throat that wont clear and I have little money and am at about 200% poverty so I dont think i qualify for govt insurance. If I went to the doctor and he proscribed me a barium swallow test for example, and I went to the hospital would they just do the test and bill me? Or if i didnt have insurance would they still do it? Ill owe the hospital if need be i just need to get some tests done.

    The hospital would undertake the test and the bill would be forwarded to you. Good luck with your tests =D
