If I'm smart right now and I smoke weed, will I still be smart?

I'm always worried and stressed out. I can't relax. I'm 15 and I'm pretty smart, responsible and on top of things. Plus, I don't wanna smoke everyday. Maybe like once or twice a month. I won't get addicted to it. I play World of Warcraft, the most addictive game ever made, some people say its more addictive than cocaine and I still workout, study, do my homework, play basketball before I play that game. My friends say its nothing bad, its just after a hard day of working out/playin basketball, they like to relax by blazing it up. What do you think? But isn't it weird that alcohol and cigarettes are legal, yet they are very bad for you but people think its okay because they are legal right? And weed isn't legal, so people automatically assume it's bad.

    Proceed at your own risk.

If you are always worried and stressed out, maybe you should try talking to your parents. There are other alternatives to weed to deal with stress, including counseling, meditation, and yes, even medication. If you smoke weed, you are not smart, plain and simple.

Quite honestly, I know plenty of people that smoke weed and do well in life.

I also know several people who have done weed, lost ambitions and lowered there goals in life (temporarily), but still lived happy lives.

I also know several people (including immediate family members) who did weed for years until it normalized other drugs, tempting them to try new ones like cocaine and meth. These drugs, unlike weed, are highly addictive and often times permanately destructive.

So, like you I have mixed feelings.

Weed isn't addictive, but the lifestyle is, as is giving in to peer pressure. If you start giving in to peer pressure now, you are likely to do so your entire life. I'm not saying your life will fall apart if you do it, but is it worth the risk? It's hard to think of your life 10 years down the road when you're 15, but just be aware of what it could potentially lead to, instead of immediate consequences.

Another tip: It seems that from the people I know that DO smoke weed, the people who started in high school (as opposed to college) haven't done much with their lives... So just keep that in mind ;)

So in summation, if you really are a smart kid and want to go to college, I wouldn't make it a habbit if I were you.
