u should probly expect extreme pain that will keep you up at nights for hours upon hours cause blood is gushing out of your pierced gums that were ripped up by the razor sharps edges of the braces! Glad that i could help!! haha have fun with those!!! ;)

i does not hurt that bad!!! ignore that 1st person. it kinda hurts but on saterday your probably getting braces and just take some pain relief AFTER you get your braces on. ^_^

Braces will hurt in the beginning. You probably wont be able to eat in the beginning for a few days, but after a while the pain will go away depeniding on the alignment of your teeth. I've never had a tooth pulled, so I do not know what to expect. But I'm guessing the process of getting the teeth pulled does not hurt, because you're on medications, but if after it wares off, the pain will come. Good luck.

Ignore the other answer, you'll be fine.
They may attach the braces, or they may just take your spacers out and put on molar bands, either way, don't worry, there's just mild discomfort, not searing pain.Posted 2 years ago # -
LMAOO at Beastly Kid! Nahh but don't worry! It really only hurts for a few days and you'll have to be on a liquid/ soft food diet (I ate cream soup and spagettios) also make sure you brush your teeth and floss EVERY DAY. If not you will have a big ugly stripe across your teeth of food! YUCK!
Hope I helped! (:

Hi! Ok, so I had this very very similar situation as you excluding the spacers. However!!!!...getting my tooth pulled out was unexpectedly unpainful. So first, my dentist put some numb gel thingy on a Q-tip and just rubbed the spot where my tooth would be pulled out (I'm pretty sure you can recommend the Q-tip thing) and then, she numbed my gum even further with a needle. I was terribly afraid at first, and I waited for the pain, but she already finished when I was still worrying. So basically, the Q-tip numbing thing just numbed every pain possible. haha! Then, she starting pulling my tooth, and you will only feel pressure. No pain! and wah-lah! And then the braces part, all they do is glue the metal thingy on your teeth and it just takes a while. When they tighten it, it will feel weird, but will hurt like 30 minutes later. Not so much where you need to take an Advil (but you could if it does hurt alot) and just be sure to not eat hard stuff. Soup and smoothies were my main diet for a few days. lol! Just don't worry. For me, I was freaking out, I could faint, but nothing bad happened!
