i've been sitting on my ass for 4 months.. i have so much to do and every time i pick something up to start it, i just sigh and lay back down on the couch.. i've been on xanax, lexapro, and cymbalta for 3 years, and i'm not really getting anything out of the therapy because I never seem to have anything to say when I'm there. Exercising makes me more sluggish.

I don't know what to do, the symptoms of my depression are getting worse, and they have been getting worse for a month.. please, any advice, any help
    i don't have any friends

Try changing up your medication. your medication is supposed to be countering your depression.

why are u depressed? Does feel better when u are around friends or family. Find something to keep u busy so u can't think about anything. I know its hard plus meds are not going to help... they just make u worse and cause more problems for your body.

Well, I really wouldn't know very well, but I had one of those days today.
One thing is to do something that makes you feel accomplished - but not something that will make you frustrated or angry - it has to be something that you like to do.

It is looking for boxes, capsules, and other things that people have hidden. You have to use a GPS, and plug in the North/South and East/West coordinates. It is really fun, and gets you out of the house. Try doing it with a friend, a family member, or girlfriend (or boyfriend). For me, it makes me feel accomplished while having fun. You get to see some new places too.

Hey man, do you have an anxiety problem? I am not sure why you would be taking xanax. If the medication is not helping you get out of your depression or stay out of a depression you should talk to your doctor about either increasing your meds or changing them all together. If you become proactive and you ask your doctor questions and are honest with them about how you feel, you will find something that works. There are many drugs out there that you can try that could help you. Ask the tough questions and get the answers you need. As far as not wanting to do anything, I hate that part of depression. But if you let that part go the depression will control you. You need to try and force yourself to do the things you don't want to do. Once you get them started, you will likely find yourself able to do them, it is just difficult to start. So, be proactive, ask questions, be honest and don't let the depression control you, control it! Good Luck!
