I was looking into contacts and had a couple of questions. First, What do you think is the best brand (including quality and value)? And what all do I need to get in the beginning, and then for maintenance? I am also wondering how many boxes I should get at a time, and how long each set will last.

Your eye doctor should recommend brand. Mine put me on one that allows a lot of air to circulate though, because I have astigmatism. I eventually had to switch to dailies because my eyes were becoming red and sensitive.
The norm are the two week ones, which are fine for most people. My mom always said that the 365 day contacts turned yellow around the end (but this was 10+ year ago), and you're really screwed over if you lose one.
You buy them in days, I get 90 days worth for about 120 dollars (dailies are more expensive, but I wear my glasses 3/4 of the time anyways).
All you'll really need is solution, and a little contact lens case thing comes with it. But really, talk to your eye doctor. They'll know the best brand and type to not aggravate your eyes, and they'll teach you how to use them (it's tricky, trust me).

Boy u crazy? Contacts can make u go BLIND according to Dr.Oz! It showed this chick who got an infection from contacts and is now legally BLIND! I say Lasik eye surgery if u can afford! If not just keep the glasses! I wear glasses 2! I highly recommend Lasik:)
