I was wondering how the make up safe contacts work. Will this be a problem because if heard of people getting something under their contacts and getting their eye scratched.

The newest silicon based lenses really don't like makeup - it makes the surface go all smeary.
Your best bet would be regular material daily disposable lenses - they will probably still get a little deposited but a new pair each day will minimize that.
You probably won't scratch your eyes significantly but it could be a little uncomfortable if you get a lot in there.
You should also try and be more careful with your makeup - it shouldn't be that close to your eyes anyway.

Daily disposables. Learn to put the make up on then, wash your hand with non moisturizing soap before inserting your contact lens.
