I do not think it is that simple. We vaccinate children because we hope to eradicate childhood disease. I think small pox has been eradicated. However I have never been vaccinated, because the Doctors told my Mother not to vaccinate me, as vaccinations back then were 'live' and as I had a poor immune system, chances are I would contract the actual disease. Now while that is all good and well, now a Adult age 50, well it means that I have to steer clear of outbreaks, mumps, measles and as for going abroad, only to Countries where I do not need to be vaccinated.
Babies can survive diseases, but they can end up disabled; blind, deaf, the list is endless, or they can die. So if for example you were to stop ALL childhood vaccinations from today and in say four years time you had a serious outbreak of say Measles, well all children no vaccinated would be in trouble, let alone the health systems trying to cope. Some children will just be carriers, have no symptoms, some will end up disabled and some will die, but as to a %, that is a variable that is hard to calculate.
