Is it an STD or ingrown hair?

    I have a large red painful bump, just slightly smaller than the size of the tip of my pinky to the first knuckle, at the top of my pubic hair line below my belly button. I have no other red marks anywhere.

    I'm hoping it's not an std like herpes, since I had sex 6 days ago, and this appeared yesterday. I would believe that it's not since the location is not where herpes goes, there are no other bumps, my partner didn't have anything that I could see (and said that they didn't), and we used a condom. I have no other symptoms of an std. I get ingrown hairs that make bumps every once in a while, but never this big. Should I be concerned?

    sounds alot like genital warts to me, not to dangerous or bad at all. go to your docter or pharmacy and get some cream. you will be just fine

    It doesn't sound like warts as the other person said. It could just be an abscess or a boil. I've gotton those in the same place and from the way you described it it sounds like an abscess. Another thing it could be the start of herpes cus i've red those are red and painful but itch alot. Try comparing pictures of std bumps/sores online and see if the pictures come close to what you have on your body.
