Is it normal that my hand hurts when playing the guitar being my first time?

    playing chords is a nightmare my muscles of the hand hurt

    oh ya and also like even your other hand and the fingers would normally hurt too but depends

    Yup. Completely normal when I first started playing flute it gave me hand cramps too. Its just you're body getting use to it that's all. Just make sure you give them time to relax. Don't forget to stretch your hands before playing :)

    Yeah. You'll cramp up a few times and get some callouses on your fingers but keep it up. It's just the beginning. 8)

    Of course it's normal, You're using muscles in your hand that you maybe don't use very often, and you're pushing on chords and strings which may calluses in long term guitar players. They will prevent your finger pads from hurting though! you can buy wrist braces though if it bets too bad. Hope it helped!
