Birth control pills don't really help your skin care at all. If you have skin problems, I suggest using other methods.

These days, lots of people take birth control pills for a wide variety of things. I've used it for skin care, and it worked for me. That being said, some birth control pills do not help the skin at all, and rather, make the problem worse. Some pills can curb appetite as well, and usually during the first couple months with a pill, you may notice some bloating, or swelling of the breasts.

However, different birth control pills have different balances of the hormones, so you may need to go through different ones until you find the right one for you. Personally, of the many kinds I've taken, I prefer Linessa and Tri-cyclen. But those ones may be more suited to my body. Also, if you have any pre-existing conditions such as heart conditions, etc, it's best to check it out with your doctor just to make sure you don't risk and harm. When you do get the pills, however, I find that the 28 package, with the fourth week being dummy pills, are much easier to keep track of if you have a busier schedule, or find that you tend to forget taking pills. Nonetheless, I'm not a doctor, this is my own experience with the pill, so I'd definitely advise you to go ask the doctor about it :)
