I know it sounds tedious,but you should check your feet every night for infections, ingrown toe nails, splinters, etc. If you are careful about this and go to the doctor when you see something amiss, you will not lose your feet.

Is loosing my foot a possibility, even though I am young?

Possibly . But if you get your glucose close to normal you will get better. Are you on antibiotics? If not get on them. Also a antibiotic cream will help. Nothing to fool around with.

This is a joke , so don't take this seriously.
I had a friend who had to have his leg amputated. Well the doctor screwed up and took off the wrong leg. So then he had to have the gangrenous leg amputated.
He went to his attorney and wanted to sue . But the attorney said that he didn't have a leg to stand on..
So if it comes to that Mark your own foot with a magic marker.So no mistake is made.Tin
