I was wondering if there was ever a point when nearsightedness can not be corrected by either glasses or contacts. Thanks for you help!

yes nearsightedness can be corrected with glasses or contacts. Glasses are actually called corrective lenses. I was have an astigmatism and last year I was told I was also near sighted in my left eye. This year when I had my yearly eye exam my left eye had improved, now I just have an astigmatism.

there is no refractive error that cannot be done in glasses or contacts. you cant ever become "too nearsighted" to have glasses or contacts.

however, there are plenty of eye conditions/diseases that make your vision/acuity so poor that glasses/contacts dont help. nearsightedness in & of itself is not one of them

Pinhole glasses allow anyone with any degree of farsightedness or shortsightedness to see 20/20. They dont feel unnatural like normal glasses and research carried out proves that the relaxation effect in the long term trains to eyes to work better/more easily.

Personally i found that they are a help with walking and balancing comfortably on escalators (which i was clumsy with before.) They also they help correct the function of the iris so that when facing strong light, the pupils become small as they should do

    demonstration video of pinhole glasses:

ebay's pinhole glasses section (very good prices)

These glasses dont use any lenses whatsoever. Which have been proven by Scheffel and many other scientists during the 60s and 70s to elongate the eyeballs of chickens (when they wore goggles continuously).

The reason why this is not accepted by everyone is because the optical industry can only make money one way. That is by ensuring glasses, contacts and laser eye surgery appear as the only way forward. They wish to portray eyesight impairment as something irreversable. On that basis people can be cornered into spending money on glasses, contacts and laser eye surgery because there is no other option when under pressure. The optometrists that attack scientific research are either extremely ignorant or they are conscious that the truth undermines all their teachings. (and makes them unethical)

Note that there are 2 sides in this arguement. Those that push for maintainance of the person's good natural eyesight (with no outside interference, no extra costs.) And the other side who have a need for people to have vision impairment. Their logic does not see eyesight improvement as any benefit to their business

So in the end if real scientists had all knowledge/research of optical science at their disposal. They would declare the standard teachings of modern day optometry as fraudulent and unscientific
