Im not sure about all your symptoms but when my husband, myself, and a friend of mine were all on lorazepam all 3 of us were so crabby and feeling like we were going to explode with anger. I tried diazepam (valium), same family of drugs, and i have absolutely no problems. Good luck to you.

Is This From the Lorazepam?

Hi
I am on Lorazepam too and all it does is slightly ease the anxiety and other symptoms you describe. I'm rally glad you are working with your doctors on this though.
My laymans opinion is that it is tied to unusually strong nicotine withdrawal symptoms. Your body/chemistry/mind is going through some major reshaping when you withdraw from a substance and it is different for each person. Yours certainly sounds like a major effort. After a while the body chemistry readjusts and you will be OK.
As the chemistry changes, the body and mind go through a lot of response rebounds and that is what you are describing. I once did cold turkey off of effexor and that was a ride and a half.
Every drug effects every person slightly differently so the doctor can only guess and do trial and error until they find the right balance for that person.
Hang in there baby! PeterPosted 1 year ago #
