I've had a similar problem but I can't figure it out and I've been to doctors who can't figure it out either. I cough almost every time I eat. I've tried everything from cutting out those foods to eating much slower to not drinking to chewing more. Nothing has worked. It's not normal but I don't think it's hurting her. It hasn't hindered me in any way.
