Is this therapist sneaky?

I have seen two therapists so far. The first was too controlling and the other one was good, I guess. She wanted me to buy this book she gave me, then she claimed my insurance was no good, but found out later my insurance paid her. My insurance pays for mental health and she told me she had worked with Medcost before, so it was no problem. Then each session, she would bring it up and show me the bill. My insurance company sent me a statement showing that they had paid her and the other therapist and I owed nothing. I think she preferred to be paid, instead of going through the claims and stuff. So I stopped going to her. She would have been paid twice, by me and the insurance company and wouldn't have said anything.
I have major depression and anxiety. I am dealing with family issues and mood swings.

Yes that's very sneaky and downright dirty. Good thing you caught it. Therapists are always talkers...and talkers are always liars...

There are a lot of "C" students out there in the world and a lot of dishonest people. You and only you can evaluate your situation. I think you have the answer, you just need to understand that people will take advantage of your nativity if you let them.

Please understand also that in therapy, 1/3 get better, 1/3 stay the same, and 1/3 get WORSE. So you have only a 33% chance of getting better by going to any therapist. If you go to a bad one, your percentage goes way down.

    good luck to you
