When we were in class we were talking about cancer and my friend said that doctors found kids who talk on the phone all the time had cancerous tumors shaped like a cell phone on the side of their head that they use to talk on the phone with. Anybody know if this is true? I know they emit radiation but I also know that it's such a miniscule amount that it's less radiation than you get walking in the park on a sunny day with no sunscreen.

First of all, if anything, she can't even remotely make herself look smart with a stupid comment like that. Wow, I've heard them all, well at least I thought I did. Imagine a tumor in the shape of a cell phone. Come on. Think about it. If this were true, don't you think this sort of thing would be all over the news media with a picture of cell phone shaped tumor. This a laughable. You have more intelligence than your friend in class. Next time she comes out with a "smart" answer, ask her to prove it with evidence from some sort of media. She won't be able to because nothing is further from the truth. Thanks you made my day.

No that's not true. Radiation from cell phones hardly does anything.

yeah it is true, its is a very slow process. It is like cigarettes; the more you smokes, the more it increases the risks of having ear cancer or brain tumor. The mobile phone emits microwaves that contain excessive radiation and heat. That why mobile are not allowed at pump stations and also it is not advisable for people with pacemakers.
But the thing which is false is the tumor like a mobile phone shape because tumors shape is unpredictable. It can be any random shape.
So care about your health, use headset or Bluetooth devices. (Btw: Bluetooth don't use microwaves since it is connected to the mobile not to the relay station.)
