I've been sick with a cough since yesterday... It's also been a stuffed up nose and everything, the winter sickness.. It hurts to cough and i need to cough to what ever i have out. But I'm afraid to cough because it hurts my chest right under my rib cage. I know why it hurts I just want it to stop!!

You probably have bronchitis and/or an upper respiratory infection and should see a doctor as soon as you are able to. My 5 year old had the same symptoms for a week and the doctors insisted it was his allergies til I brought him in with double pink eye. They will most likely give you an oral antibiotic, probably amoxacillian or something in that range of drugs spectrum.
