  2. What a screwy story. You know "temporal lobe" but not 911?
    A nerf sword?
An 8 year old reporting "blurry vision"?
A Mom asking "what do I do"?

    Weird.

First of all, your son did not get hit in the left temporal lobe (unless, he has no skull to cover his brain). He got hit in the left temporal region of his skull. The symptoms he is showing indicate a concussion at the least. Definitely take him to the hospital before it gets any worse. Good luck!

Oh yeah, an 8 year old knows what medical attention he needs. Be a responsible parent and drag him to emergency. Better be safe than sorry. He could have a brain hemorrhage, especially since he had blurry vision and cried for THAT LONG!!!

By the way, I really hope he'll be okay, because what you described sounds very serious and can be fatal.

As a firefighter/EMT my advice is to take the young man to the nearest ER for a check up. His being combative & just wanting to sleep are signs of potential head trauma that needs to be evaluated.

  8. DO NOT LET HIM SLEEP!!! he could have a concussion and if you let him sleep he could go into a coma. rush him to the ER.
