The loss of a tiny baby is one of the saddest of life's experiences. You should ask for a conference with the pediatric cardiologist who cared for your infant. He or she will explain in greater detail what those abbreviations mean. Consider also seeing a genetic counselor. Some heart defects occur more frequently in certain families. Most importantly, address your grief. It is very normal for you to be so very sad about this, and you may need help in getting through these difficult times.
