She's 14, almost 15, and we have no idea what this is. She's coughing up blood every so often, and I guess when she was on the phone she passed out but she doesn't remember it. We know coughing up blood is a serious thing, and that she needs to go to the doctor. But her mom doesn't have much money (and she's lazy) and thinks she's going to be just fine, so she's no help at all. We'd like to get my friend help without having to call CPS on her mom, because that's all she has. Her dad passed away several years ago and if her mom got in trouble she pretty much has nowhere to go, unless I could possibly take her in, but I doubt that would work out. Anyway, any bright ideas? We're broke too, so yeah.
if we take her to the ER ourselves, will it cost? we have no money, like at all. maybe three dollars.
this has been going on for about a week i'd guess? i'm not sure exactly where the blood is coming from, we just know she's coughing it up. she also said there is an acid-y, burning feeling in her throat afterwards.
she's also been very shaky and sometimes lightheaded.

I'm sorry but a mother that doesn't take her child to the ER when she's coughing up blood doesn't deserve to keep her. She isn't going to be okay. Coughing up blood could be a few things but all of them are deadly. She could have from a few weeks to a few years depending on what she has in her current state. I'd just tell her mom to shove it and take her to an ER right now. They will not turn you away if you don't have money.
