My grandma just got diagnosed with a terminal illness and I don't feel anything?

    you might be in denial. Just talk about how your feeling to your parents, or maybe a friend who has lost a grandparent. You are not cold hearted.

    no it doesnt mean u r coldhearted...it just means that u dont want to accept that fact that this is all happening nd its happeneing fast...also ur just so shocked and oblivious to it that u dont kno what to feel yet...it will sink in eventually and trust me u will know when it does

    You are not cold-hearted, you are in shock. You don't want to feel anything because then you will have to admit that something is terribly wrong and your heart doesn't want to have to do that yet.

    I suggest that you spend as much time with your grandmother as the doctors will allow. Tell her how special she is to you and what you have learned from her. But I beg you, please don't offer her false hope. No "everything is going to be okay grandma". She knows the truth and so do you. Just be there for her and enjoy whatever time she has left.

    I promise you, you won't regret it.
