Don't worry. Worry solves nothing and only raises stress levels which makes it harder to do anything. They won't do two chest xrays in a week unless it is an emergency because chest xray is loaded with radiation. She probably has a bit of pneumonia. I've had it before and it is very draining and it does put shadows on a chest xray. She just needs rest.

the reason for giving things a couple weeks is to track any changes in lung condition. doing it every week would expose your sister to more radiation & not likely be enough medical benefit. a shadow on the lung can mean many things...try not to worry until there is something to worry about. it's an old saying but it's a good one. some changes develop slowly. try to be patient. coughing a lot or not breathing well can wear you out pretty quickly. i'm assuming she's on some kind of medicine to help with either settling down the cough or giving the cough the "umph" to bring up whatever is causing the trouble. besides that, she could probably use some extra rest. some illnesses demand some down-time. does she have household help? sweeping a floor is unhealthy for her now, so somebody else should do that (imagine dust in those lungs). cleaning with heavy cleansers isn't good now either. fumes make us all cough & she doesn't need another reason to cough. does she have stairs at home? might be a good time to put as much as possible on the downstairs level so she doesn't have to go up & down so much.
