Ok so I went 7 mounths with out period, the doctor put me on a med to induce one, i got it then missed the next one too, so now I am going in for and untrasound on my uterus on the 3rd. I just got a period it lasted less than a day and was water. It was red water, i was sitting at lunch in the cafiteria (I am in college) and it felt like i had peed my pants, it stopped now. I am thinking i should keep the appointment for ultrasound, but what could a period that is like water mean?

I don't know, I'm not an expert but you might be having fertility issues and this could be a sign of losing your "womanhood," or maybe you've been having "rotten eggs," which would be tied into that. This probably doesn't help much but i hope it gave you some kind of insight. Good luck

You should definitely keep the appointment! If you are looking for an opinion on this, the doctor is definitely going to be the best person to go to.

Are you sure you aren't pregnant? I have no idea why water would come out of your uterus unless it's amniotic fluid (but i'm not a doctor, so who knows), but i'm guessing pregnancy would be the first thing they'd check you for. It is possible to miss a pregnancy if you only took a pee test.
You should Definitely go in for the ultrasound.

I am almost 100% sure you have either a hormone issue, or you are sterile. You are obviously not ovulating, meaning you cannot get pregnant. You must be over 18, so it is an issue. And it was probably just spotting that you experienced, nothing special.

I have been searching like crazy for an answer for you and found this forum you might want to read...no real answers but there are a lot of sisters out there with similar problem and doctors who don't know what the answer is.
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Undiagnosed-Symptoms/watery-discharge-during-period/show/576338Another site had a doctor answer the question of watery period this way:
This sounds like bleeding related to implantation. I can't tell you why it's happened. There are probably clots in the uterus that you haven't expelled and the cramps are the result of the uterus trying to expel them. The watery, bloody discharge is the serum that comes out of the clots which is thin enough to get through the cervix. This problem will likely prevent conception this month but should not be a permanent problem.
not sure whether that is the correct answer or not (I am just a little skeptical). The common denominators for the women seem to be gushing watery discharge, back pain and cramps and irregular periods, and clots during period.
Not able in this time frame to gather more info or put it all together better than above. Hope it helps a little,Posted 2 years ago #
