I think it is a virus you need to just ride out. Get some throat strips or liquid. You dried out your throat. If you run a fever or thing change then call Dr. Sometimes that crap hangs on for a couple weeks.

hello
i have had a cold for like a week or something now,
at first it was really mild
and then i started to get a stuffy nose
and now my throat hurts,(i think it is because i couldnt breathe through my nose during the night so i breathed through my throat....)and now it hurts!!!!!!!!!
please help
o yea i dont have a fever or red/white marks, no stomache pain. (i dont think its strep.)

This sounds like a cold. Which is caused by viruses. Antibiotics will not help with a viral infection. I wouldn't bother going to the doctor unless thing change - if you start coughing up horrible coloured sputum or get a really high temperature for example. Otherwise you're just wasting your time and your doctors.
I'd rest, take paracetamol and wait to get better. Colds can take a few weeks to go away.Posted 2 years ago #
