I dont know why you are on gabapentin for anxiety as it is a neurotic drug sedative type. gabapentine or trade name [neurotin] is a highly costing drug used mainly as a pain relief for its uses. my grandfather was given it for neck pains after his laryngectomy and tracheostomy. it would sedate your brain to stop anxious thorts but if i was you i would look for a different drug. maybe Prozac [Fluoxetine Hydrochloride], or Amitryptline. they might had been more suitable for you as a sedative state is not good to live in... basically like giving someone morphine after they fell over instead of ibuprofen or paracetamol! it will work but will work too much.

ive been on GABAPENTIN for 14 days ..at frist it was fine.. little dizzy bot nothing big.. im at 900mg a day.. im getting used to it..i have GAD anxiety. i feel dizzy the past 3 days on and off .. nothing major.. is this working for me or? what . one of the side effects are dizziness but not alot..any advice or story's please feel free. talked to doctor as well..Posted 2 years ago # -
as you inc dosage the side effects may change as you adjust to them. see how you feel after 4-6 weeks. if theres no change their are other antidepressants to choose from
