Red bump on the lower left eyelid?

I woke up this morning with a small annoying pain on my lower left eyelid and it aches every time I blink and a little when I move my eye around. I thought it would go away but it's still there, the pain isn't all that bad. It's just annoying and it's a stabbing pain sort of. Anyway, this morning i could see nothing wrong with my eye. Just recently I looked in the mirror and I noticed my lower eyelid is a bit swollen and close to the eyelash I can see a white dot, like if it were a whitehead from a pimple.

What can I do to make it go away? It's a real pain! You can't tell it's swollen from far cause it's barely red and you can only tell from up close. Should I go see a doctor? Or the ophthalmologist? Or will it go away on its own? Any tips would be appreciated!!

    Thanks a lot!

Sounds like a sty, which is basically an eye pimple.1st, wash your hands with lots of soap. Hold a warm washcloth to it for several minutes. That will help it come to a head. Then sterilize a sharp needle & go in from the side, not straight in from the top & gently pick the yellow spot . Then take a Kleenex & push gently & the pus should come out. It's just a tad bit. Then do the warm washcloth thing for several more minutes. Do not wash your face or the other eye with that cloth as sties can be spread.
    Good Luck!

  3. It also might be a chalazion, which has to go away on its own.

It sounds like a blocked gland. But again I cant be 100% sure you should go to your doctor or your optician. The best thing for a blocked gland is to use hot compresses on your eye to loosen up the blockage and it should eventually drain.
