Just a few month's back i went into the hospital and suffered cardiac arrest and successfully came back and was hospitalized for awhile. I finally was let home at the end of April and everything been fine and i have a ICD which i haven't got a shock yet. But i noticed for the last few weeks something strange started happening and that was everytime i wake up from a night sleep i can't walk or ill fall im very dizzy and when i talk i can only mumble.
So i went to the doctor twice and of course they sent me to a neurologist and he ran all kinds of test on me and they did labs and everything came back NORMAL including the cat scan. So he admitted me into the hospital EEG monitoring and when i fell asleep there and woke up i was pretty much awake because i have difficult time sleeping in the hospital and when he read the EEG he said it was normal and maybe it was something psychological which pissed me off and sent me to a psychiatrist.
I refused and he said ok and i was discharged later that day. I notice though the more i went on the worst it got so i ended up calling him back and made a appointment and told him about how i didn't get enough rest and its nothing crazy about me and its getting worst. So he sent me home on a ambulatory EEG for 24 hours and when i went to sleep that night and woke up it happen again and it always last between 20-30 min and if no one home i have to stay in bed until i feel functional. But he read the EEG and told me he seen seizure activity but problem is i don't think i was having a seizure and i do remember the event! He said its weird so admitted me into the hospital and they made me comfortable and help me go to sleep with meds and when i woke up the nurses and doctors was there watching me and it happen and the EEG machine in the hospital show seizure activity? A few days later after additional test i was discharge and he told me he will get back in contact with me because he want to get a specialist involved. Anyone ever had this? or know someone with it? I was advised to wear a helmet during the day..
