i just started my new medication this morning and i wasn't quite awake at the time and the cap flew off down a hole in my house..lol.. i prefer to keep the medication in it's original container, so if i went back to safeway to ask for another cap would they give it to me?

shit, lost the cap (lid) to my medication bottle? can i ask for a new one?

Call the number on the bottle and ask, but I can see no reason why not. I've never had problems with getting regular replacements for the childproof caps mine come with when I forget to ask in advance.

i don't see why not. they should provide it free of charge. it's just a cap. plus it's necessary if you are taking your meds w/you they need to be carried in their original prescription bottle. otherwise if you were to get stopped by the cops and you had your meds in another container, they could get you for posession of prescription drugs
