and it is hurting very very badly and not only that but causing my other teeth to hurt as well. i know i haven't taken the best care of my teeth but a little later for that now, but iam also 39 weeks pregnant and no dentist will see me does anyone have any ideas to get the pain to ease up? i have tried everything i can think of, tylenol, percoset, salt water, whiskey, almond extract, vanilla extract, anbesol, ice pack on the face, the dr gave me antibiotics, and pain killers but they don't seem to be helping and now my check is swollen and i cant barely close my mouth with out it hurting. anyone any ideas?? and i don't need to hear about how i should have taken better care of my teeth i already know this much.
yeah i called a oral surygen and have an appt made for march 18th i was hoping to be able to get in sooner but it didnt happen that way. iam 25 and my wisdom teeth just came in like 2 years ago but i havent had any problems with them until now. never really occured to me to have them taken out until now! and now i wish i would have thought of it sooner....

You should have had your wisdom teeth removed a long time ago! Most people choose to get their wisdom teeth removed sometime in their teen years. It helps prevent problems like this. Plus, with those extra 4 worthless teeth, your mouth is less crowded which allows your teeth to stay aligned better. You will probably just have chew with the other side of your mouth until you can get the tooth extracted.
Sorry I'm not more help. I probably just told you what you already knew. :S

Well the good news is that is will stop hurting when you go into labor... it's physically impossible to have two separate parts of the body hurt at the same time. The brain will only register the most severe pain.
As for right now, if all the things you've tried aren't working the only thing you can do is wait it out. Make an emergency appointment with the dentist to have the tooth removed as soon as you are home from the hospital after having the baby.Posted 2 years ago # -
See your MD and expect antibiotics and a pain pill. Narcotics won't hurt your baby, Make a appointment now with your dentist for a few days after delivery. If you have no money, as was my case, take your head to the nearest dental school and let the students chop the bad teeth out. It worked for me.
