what are the chances of them finding out ?
it takes about 3-5 months in total from seed to germination to growing to drying and curing
what are the chances that during these 5 months of cultivation my parents might go in my room for what ever reason
what are some ways i can keep them out of my room without it being completely obvious that I'm trying to hide something
there's no secret room except for the closet...
which i could easily get away with growing my plants in there but i was talking about using the whole room

Are you trying for the stoner of the month question?
Of course they will find out. Even if you could somehow sneak in all the equipment, soil, grow lights, etc.and somehow keep the smell from permeating the rest of the house (and I bet you share common air ducts besides having to go in and out the door, don't you kind of think that months of trying to keep your parents totally out of your room won't raise suspicion?
Besides, it still is their house and they are your parents and you should expect them to come in to your room at times.

They will come into your room for one of the following reasons:
1) They might want to give you something or bring you something and expect to be invited in by you (especially if it's hot)
2.) I know that when you're growing marijuana it smells if you have a lot of plants. They will be able to smell it (possibly even from outside.)
3.) If they're your landlords they will probably come in to check on stuff (spray for bugs, fix a lightbulb, etc.) Considering they're your parents they probably won't feel prompted to ask your permission first.

Horrible idea.
Growing weed reeks, and most likely there are air ducts that are shared with the rest of the house. They will catch a wiff every now and then.
And it takes alot of power to do it correctly. They WILL notice a spike in the electricity bill epically if you plan on growing mutiple plants.
Not to mention they own the room and can walk in any time they want for whatever reason they want. What if you got some mail and they want to put it in your room, what if you leave cloths in the dryer and they bring them into their room.
This is possibly one of the stupidest weed question i have ever seen posted on this website, and i am normally for the weed questions and not against them.
