Sorry, took four kids through chicken pox. It's a grin and bear it disease. The only relief is a menthol spray for sore throats. Spray your mouth and gums. That will give you momentary relief. Chipped ice is good. As for eating...cool instant oatmeal, poached egg, cream of mushroom/chicken/celery/chedder soups.
I put real food in the blender with a little milk so they could drink it. It has to be cooled though. No tomatoes, no acidic foods, only apple juice. Sodas and vitamin waters have acids added.
For nutrition, get some Ensure (or store brand) or SlimFast. Those milkshakes are gonna put on the pounds!
Good Luck.

Chicken Pox can cause sores n the mouth, but so can other diseases. Thrush causes whitish plaques n the mouth and extreme tenderness, difficulty swallowing. While chicken pox is generally benign in healthy people, teens, adults and pregnant women and those With other health problems need to be seen by a health care provider. If you are still erupting, you are still contagious. It takes about 10-12 days for all the sores to scab over, and new one s to stop forming. Call in first, to see if they can help you on the phone. If they need to see you, follow their directions as far as coming in (like maybe they will take you directly to an exam room, not wait in the waiting room spreading the virus.) Liquids sound like a good idea. Warm or cold, which ever you can tolerate.
