It starts off with stiff shoulders and then a stiff neck. Then i start to feel restless and then the bottom half of my head feels stiff and i get a light headache. after a hour or 2 of that all of a sudden i get this horrible splitting headache with nausea. Is this just a severe headache or a migraine? I get this at random times, sometime I dont get it for a few months. Other times i get it for a few days in a row...its quite random but it always happens in the night...

It sounds like a migraine. You really should see someone for help. There are all kinds of things they can do for you, to help alleviate the pain. Muscle tension headaches also cause this kind of pain. If you can, see a massage therapist. They can help ease the muscles to help prevent the attacks. FIRST I would see a doctor to make sure it isnt anything more serious.
