I've had swollen lymph nodes for a little over 3 months now.... I started to feel bad the beginning of january with extreme fatigue and I found the lymph nodes, couple in my right groin (one about 1.5 cm), one under my chin, and a larger one a little less than 2 cm on the left side of my neck. I went to the doc at that time and he tested for strep and mono, both came back negative. I'm also not sexually active. he took a cbc and only thing he found was that i had mono sometime in the past(but not now) and that my thyroid was slightly underactive. So he put me on thyroid meds and sent me on my way. My strategy was just to ignore the enlarged nodes at that point.
Now, 3 months later, the nodes are still swollen, and new nodes are popping up on the left side of my groin, around my neck, and I can feel one above my collar bone. I've not had any night sweats(a couple times i have woken up sweaty but not as extreme or consistent as its been described online) also have not been any itchier than normal. I may have lost a few pounds but not much.
My question is, should I really push to check out the lymph nodes next time I check up with my doc about my thyroid or should I just ignore them to see if they go away?
