The dentist took out the wrong tooth? questions?

I had to get a broken tooth removed and yet the dentist took out a tooth with a cavity instead! We both agreed we were removing the broken tooth and yet when he went in he took out the other instead. Without consulting me! What do I do? I called and couldn't speak with him.

Also the extraction was a simple extraction (there was nothing surgical about it, they pulled it with no problem) and yet I was charged for surgical extraction (that the broken tooth would of required) what do i do?

Go there and talk to him. If he ignores you or pretends like he knew what he was doing, repeat that you still have a broken tooth and demand that he fix it right there and just wait. If there is no openings then the next day. Don't back down.
If worse comes to worse talk to legal aid.

    Maybe hes a re-tahd.
I would go back up there and ask what he did because he took out the wrong tooth, He could have mistaken you for another patient and thought he was taking out a cavity tooth instead of a broken tooth. But definentely go up there and get the bill fixed.

If you can't get him to return your call to discuss your concern, I guess I would go back up there and ask to speak to him or at least the office manager. Usually any extraction is actually considered "surgery" and if it is just a general dentist the fee for any type of permanent tooth extraction should be the same. Best of Luck. The bright side is, at least he didn't pull a completely healthy tooth :)
