You need to let your doctor know about this. I don't know how old your dad is but in some older people anesthesia may affect them that way. Many doctors will avoid surgery on older people for just that reason. The medications have become much better lately but not perfect yet. Also, blood clots could cause that. That is why you need to stay on it and keep the doctor informed. From what I understand some people recover quickly from the effects and some do not. Just be patient with him and stay on it.
