Vagina Sore..Could it just be a pimple?

    Hey about 1 month ago, i noticed a sore on my vagina lip that burned when i went to the toilet (thinking it was herpes) ..so i went to the doctor, got a swab test/blood test and tested for all STI's and it all came back negative, and my doctor was clueless as to what it was..and she said if it came back to go see her again..and now a month later..i have a sore on the vagina lip, but in a different spot .. i used to get pimples occasionally down there..but is that all it could be ? there is only one pimple thing..and yes i am sexually active & i always use protection & my bf is clean. Also nothing has changed..like ive only ever been with my bf, so im a little unsure as to what it is.Thanks.
    its gone away, so pretty sure it was a pimple if it went away that quickly, Thanks :)

    As gross as it sounds (and is), apparently it's normal to get cysts on the labia and in the general genital area from time to time. I had one form in the crease of my leg and buttock once, and another time right on the outside of my labia. It looked like a pimple, but I couldn't pop it when I tried.

    After going to see my GP, she said it was a cyst that formed in response to an acute staph infection, and that they're actually very common. After about 2 weeks, it was close enough to the surface of my skin, and with a pin I was able to puncture and drain it (wearing gloves and using sterile gauze and tools).

    It hurt like hell up to the point I was able to drain it, but left alone, they do disappear on their own within a month or so.

    it could be a pimple or an ingrown hair or any number of things. if your doctor checked you out and you don't have any sti's I wouldn't worry too much. that said if it continues to bother you go back to your doctor and ask for a referal to a specialist to figure out what it is and how to get rid of it
