What are some classes of drugs which may be used in the management of the patient with heart failure. (ARBs, BBs, ACE, diuretics) can someone briefly tell me why these are helpful?

Beta blockers - help to decrease the work load of the heart, thus allowing it to push against a lower pressure and contract more efficiently. Helps slow the process of cardiac remodeling
Diuretics - decrease afterload, decrease preload and allows the heart to push blood cells and plasma and less fluids
    ARDS - hate them...
Digoxin - does not help in survival of heart failure, not at all, however, it seems to allow people to have less frequent attacks of acute CHF exacerbations
Nitro - vasodilator, allows less after load, easier work for heart
Aldectone - has been shown to improve overall mortality by reducing reducing cardiac remodeling through hormonal regulation
