Not much you can do without a doctor, and an inhaler or two, same as Asthma. There are OTC medicines, but they just become addictive as we become dependent - I don't touch them and tolerate colds and allergies. Having the makeup problem however, worsens the effect - you can carry a bottle of mouth pump-spray and use it once in awhile. I say specifically to avoid non-prescription inhalers. They always worsen the problem.

I used to have allergies like that. You can try over the counter antihistamines. I used to use Benadryl allergy medicine but stopped taking it because it makes me really tired. I'd take 1/2 a pill and end up falling asleep on it for 8hours straight. When I woke up, I had difficulty standing and doing normal things. I'd feel shaky, really tired, dizzy, and not part of my body. My nerves were really irritated and jittery. Anyway, this was with half a pill. I took it a few times and then stopped taking it because of its effect on me. I think Claritin, which is another allergy drug, which I think is now available over the counter. I shop at Kroger Grocery stores and think it's available in that area.
Do you go to college? If you have a University Health Clinic, you can go there? Also, I think that stores like Rite Aide, Walgreens, and Target now have walk-in clinics where you can just go even if you don't have health insurance. You pay out of pocket for a physician's evaluation and checkup. You can look up their websites and find out specific information(what they treat, how much it costs) for yourself.
Maybe, its your makeup. I used to get sudden allergies to Mascara so I stopped using it. I have not worn it for 10 years now. Today, I was just thinking about going back to using Mascara and products that would work--one that I thought about and heard off is Almay. They make make up for people with skin sensitivities. You might try changing your cosmetic line just in case it's something you are using that's causing it.
You can look up the Public Health website for your city and see what allergens are in your communtity right now There's also a site called pollen count or allergen count that tells you which allergens are in season. you might be allergic to pollen or something else falling rom the trees.
