What do i do if my bracket is loose?

    i just got my braces today and when i got home to floss and brush it started to hurt and i eventually noticed a loose bracket. i'm not talking about the colored bracket i mean the main bracket is loose. if anybody knows how to get rid of pain, help me chew (i can't bite all the way down), or help me fix my loose bracket PLEASE HELP

    Yeah, you definitely need to go back to the orthodontist to get that fixed. One broken bracket that isn't fixed can mean a month or two longer in braces. As for the pain, it'll last about a week. Take Tylenol or Motrin or Alleve, any pain killer, really. But it doesn't completely get rid of the pain, so don't be surprised if it seems like it's not working.

    If a bracket is loose, you need to go back to the dentist to fix it. also take some advil or motrin for your pain. It will take a few days to get the hang of how to chew with braces on, and your teeth will also be sore for a few days That is normal. Maybe stick to softer foods for a couple of days until they feel better.

    are you pertaining with the molar bands? (since you cant bite down) or brackets as in the square ones with the color bands on it?

    if its the square ones you can just remove it (to avoid accidentally swallowing it)

    if it was the molar bands.. (silver circle on the molars) just attach it to your teeth again (manually) it is still going to be loose but it is better rather than removing it. then go back to your orthodontist to have it re-cemented again =)
