I'm in my 20s and my pulse has been over 100 bpm for the past week (my resting is normally in the 60s). I went to the ER and all the doctor said was that I had a short PR interval and my heart rate should go down in a few days, but it hasn't. What would a short PR interval indicate, and is it something to worry about?
I'm pretty active, eat healthy, and don't smoke or do drugs. I consume very little caffeine (usually none at all).

This is followed by a conducted beat with a short PR interval and then the cycle repeats itself. ... used to indicate the presence of a prolonged PR interval

P-R interval, which normally ranges from 0.12 to 0.20 seconds in duration. This interval represents the time between the onset of atrial depolarization and the onset of ventricular depolarization. If the P-R interval is >0.2 sec, there is an AV conduction block, which is also termed a first-degree heart block if the impulse is still able to be conducted into the ventricles.

A short PR interval may indicate a pre-excitation syndrome via an accessory pathway that leads to early activation of the ventricles, such as seen in Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.
